Lucía Pérez Dezcallar

Lucía Pérez Dezcallar, born in Palma de Mallorca, began her cello studies in 2012 at the Conservatori Elemental i Professional de Música i Dansa de Mallorca under Carmen Valcarce. In 2020 she began her higher studies at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears with Emmanuel Bleuse, graduating in 2023 with the highest distinction.

During her training she has studied with cellists including Christoph Henkel, Asier Polo, Iván Siso, Ángel García Jermann, Fernando Arias, Amparo Lacruz, Iván Balaguer, Zuzanna Sosnowska, Matthias Naegele, Johannes Krebs and Audun Sandvik.

She has played with ensembles including the Orquesta Estamos Cuerd@s, the Petita Simfònica de les Illes Balears, the Orquestra Lauseta, the Mallorca Chamber Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands.

In 2017 she took part in the Ingenium Academy Summer School in the United Kingdom. She later attended Forum Musikae in Madrid and Celloleon in León in 2019, returning to the latter in 2020.

In 2026 she finished her master’s degree cum laude at Codarts — the University of the Arts in Rotterdam — under the mentorship of Joachim Eijlander.
