Jaime Arsenio Gómez Pomar
Jaime began the violin as a child with his grandfather, the composer and violinist Bernat Pomar i Pomar, and went on to professional studies in Mallorca before completing his bachelor’s degree at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears. He has played with the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra and served as concertmaster of the Conservatori Superior orchestra, and since 2018 has studied regularly with Olivier Charlier of the Paris Conservatoire. He holds a master’s in violin performance from Codarts, Rotterdam, completed with the highest grade.

Jaime Arsenio Gómez Pomar began his violin studies at an early age with his grandfather, the composer and violinist Bernat Pomar i Pomar. Xavier Pericàs later prepared him for entry to the conservatory, where he began his professional training with Ramón Andreu at the Conservatori Professional de Música i Dansa de Mallorca.
In 2019 he entered the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, completing his higher studies under José Manuel Álvarez Losada, with Vicente Balaguer as associate professor.
He has taken part in festivals and masterclasses including the Mimas Festival (Italy) and Forum Musikae, where he worked with Manuel Guillén. He has also studied with violinists such as Juan Luis Gallego, Sarah Kapustin, Yuri Zhislin, Lavard Skou, Hans-Werner Mehling, Petr Maceček, Gabriel Koh Kameda, Sihana Badivuku and Darling Dyle. Since 2018 he has received regular lessons from the violinist Olivier Charlier, professor at the Paris Conservatoire.
He has played with numerous orchestras, among them the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears, the Orquestra de Cambra de Mallorca, the Orquestra Lauseta, the Jove Orquestra de les Illes Balears and the Encontres Orquestrals de les Illes Balears. He has also been concertmaster of the Conservatori Superior orchestra.
In 2022 he was awarded second prize in the chamber music competition of the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears.
He completed his master’s degree in violin performance at Codarts — the University of the Arts in Rotterdam — with the highest grade, under the guidance of Gordan Nikolić and Goran Gribajcevic.
